Dóchas: Now More Than Ever

Client: Dóchas

Type: Logotype, social media, advertising, campaign activation, report design

Disciplines: Graphic Design - Print Design - Digital Design

Working with a social marketing company to develop and launch a campaign to unite people in the cause for continued and increased support for Official Development Assistance (ODA) and global solidarity.

This project contained a multitude of smaller projects. The first project was designing the campaign logo. I designed the logo based on Dóchas’ current logo, but combining it with the symbol for the Sustainable Development Goals. The logo was then used across all assets. This included facemasks that ministers and politicians wore in photo opportunities while still adhering to COVID guidelines in Ireland.

The next project was developing engaging infographics that were to be used across the client's social media channels. The graphics were based on the results of the Worldview Research, which gave stats and findings to capture the target audience’s attention across a variety of social media channels. The graphics look and feel followed Dóchas’ brand guidelines but utilised eye-catching illustrations to help drive engagement.

The final project was the design and print of the Pre-Budget Submission 2022 Document. I designed the report while working with our copywriter and creative director.

The report used a combination of photography, illustrations and infographics to convey the messaging the client wanted to achieve. I designed the report using InDesign and Illustrator. I then worked with printers to organise printing of the report in time for the Budget 2022.

The campaign was very successful and saw a successful budget increase and allocation for ODA. The campaign was covered in the Irish Times and the Irish Independent.
